"In my proper character, I am an officer of the United States
Army." ~Zebulon Pike (source- brainyquote)
About Zebulon Pike
Zebulon Pike was a farmer when he was younger; he took over the farm while his father worked in the army. Zeb always thought of farming as boring, and when he recieved a notice to come live with his dad in a fort, he was thrilled! At the age of 15, he decided he wanted to be a soldier and joined the Cadet Corps. While being a soldier, he expanded his job and wanted even more adventure, so he agreed to go on an expedition. He went on two major expeditions of exploring. He was one of four children- by 1812, his mother and all but his brother George were alive (including Zeb).
